Microcurrent facial

Microcurrent stimulation involves the application of tiny electrical impulses that mimic the body's natural bioelectrical field. In most cases, this treatment is nearly sub-sensory, causing only a slight tingling sensation.

Initially developed to address Bell's palsy, a condition characterized by facial muscle weakness, microcurrent stimulation has now gained widespread use in the realm of aesthetics due to its numerous cosmetic benefits. Often referred to as "facial toning" or "non-surgical face lifting," microcurrent treatments are renowned for their remarkable ability to lift facial muscles, redefine contours, and enhance the neck area. Simultaneously, microcurrent encourages collagen (up to 14%) and elastin (up to 48%) production in the skin's deepest layer, the dermis, while also increasing blood circulation (by 38%). These effects are complemented by the gentle reduction of signs of aging in the top layer of skin, known as the epidermis. The cumulative benefits make it clear that starting preventative microcurrent treatments early can reduce the likelihood of needing surgical procedures in the future.

This safe and painless treatment delivers immediate results by diminishing fine lines and wrinkles (reducing wrinkle depth by up to 75%) and improving elasticity (by up to 88%), thereby firming the skin and refining facial features. It enhances muscle tone, reduces puffiness, boosts cellular activity, tightens pores, and regulates sebum production to reduce acne breakouts. Ultimately, microcurrent treatments result in healthier, more youthful-looking skin that radiates, regardless of age.

Microcurrent serves as a non-invasive, needle-free alternative to collagen injections and dermal fillers, instantly plumping fine lines and wrinkles after the very first session. It is particularly ideal for women aiming to enhance the appearance of sagging jowls and for men seeking a more sculpted jawline.

True microcurrent employs a current with an intensity of less than one millionth of an amp (< 1mA) and utilizes a modified waveform that can overcome the body's natural resistance to current without causing any discomfort. Its low intensity means it doesn't induce physical or visible muscle contractions. Instead, microcurrent stimulation operates through a process known as muscle re-education.

During the treatment, all 32 facial muscles are gently manipulated using soft cotton-tipped wands (probes) or other attachments that transmit the microcurrent impulses.

The direction in which a muscle is worked can either lengthen and relax it, which is beneficial for muscles that have become contracted due to prolonged facial expressions (e.g., frown lines), or shorten it, which is necessary for muscles that have elongated over time due to aging and gravity. This comprehensive approach ensures that microcurrent stimulation effectively addresses various muscle-related concerns, contributing to a rejuvenated and more youthful appearance.
